Hello everyone, Blou here.

There have been a number of times in my life where I’ve wanted something, but it simply did not exist. It wasn’t a matter of finances, rarity or competition, but of the basic fact that the product I wished for was not made anywhere.

Most would simply move on, but I couldn’t. Instead of waiting for another to create what I wanted, I would create it myself.

One of those instances led to Bloudog Hardwear. In December of 2020, I had the desire for extremely heavy-duty, genuine leather gear designed for both skin and fursuit wear. Totally custom, one-of-a-kind and over-engineered to the highest degree. Such products simply didn’t exist, so I decided to make them myself.

It has been a learning journey, one full of long nights and slow progress. What started as a way to build my own leather gear in my little 12’x12’ workshop has turned into a full-on business, and I couldn’t be more happy or surprised. And as the hobby developed further into the realm of profession, I decided to ensure my guiding principles on quality and craftmanship remained as stalwart as ever.

Each piece of gear that leaves my shop is to the level and quality that I would want if I were to be receiving it. If it’s not, I do it again until it is. Simple as that. Every piece, big or small, is meticulously crafted with every detail demanding the utmost quality, and there are no shortcuts.

When you buy one of my creations, you’re not just buying a piece of gear, you’re buying into a passion. From design to delivery, I involve the commissioner in every aspect of the build. I never want to deliver a product that is simply alright, but always exceptional. I urge my clients to tell me everything they’ve ever wanted in a piece of gear—If it’s physically possible, I can do it.

It’s for that reason I stand behind the products I create with such confidence. If something ever goes wrong with your item, I will make sure it is returned to you stronger than ever. I take it as a challenge that not one of my products has ever failed under stress, and each new product delivered into the hands of a client renews that promise.

I still feel like I’ve only just left the starting line, and I am very excited to see where this road takes me.
